Saturday Synopsis: Sitting Around All Day…AGAIN

The ice and snow still hasn’t melted. The news and various on-line agencies suggested staying home unless it was very important. My morning writing group was cancelled, so another morning of staying under the covers until afternoon. Here is the synopsis of my day. Check email and Facebook, drink tea, more Facebook, go through some old artwork, hang one painting, more tea and watch television. That’s it! It’s 8:15 pm and I haven’t eaten yet, just a handful of peanuts.

Here is one of my paintings that I hung up in my piano room. This is one of my favorites, so it needed a special place. Oh yes, I also played the piano a while. Did I mention, I don’t know how to play? I just tinker and play by ear. Boy, is my ear tired! (Little humor)

I pretty much wasted the entire day. My bottom is sore from all the sitting I’ve been doing. Oh yes, I also went out to the mailbox and got yesterday’s and today’s mail. I actually contemplated putting on my gym shoes and going for a walk, but then decided that if I slipped on the ice and broke a hip, then I’d be doing a whole lot more sitting around.

Tomorrow, I look forward to going to church. I’m going to pray for warmer weather!

My painting, acrylic 16×20.
