Wednesday Words of Wisdom

16 Jul

“Oh my God, what if you wake up some day, and you’re 65, or 75, and you never got your memoir or novel written; or you didn’t go swimming in warm pools and oceans all those years because your thighs were jiggly and you had a nice big comfortable tummy; or you were just so strung out on perfectionism and people-pleasing that you forgot to have a big juicy creative life, of imagination and radical silliness and staring off into space like when you were a kid? It’s going to break your heart. Don’t let this happen.” — Anne Lamott********

I want to have a big juicy creative life! I’m going to write my memoir! I’m going to tell everyone how perfectly amazing life can be even after being kicked in the teeth and tossed aside like a piece of trash. You know why? Because I’m amazing! I’m silly, I have fun, I dance and walk and run and talk to strangers. My thighs jiggle and my arms wiggle. I’m not perfect, but I’m amazing !

I get up  EVERY day and tell myself how amazing I am.  Really!

Life is good and I have been so very blessed. No one can take that away. It’s a gift I give myself. It’s a gift from God. Amen!

Short and sweet. If you appreciate your blessings and your life, you will be blessed. That’s how it works.
