Wednesday Words of Wisdom:) Happiness is Sharing

“You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces — just good food from fresh ingredients.” – Julia Child*********

I don’t cook fancy or complicated, but I genuinely love to cook and bake. Unfortunately, I rarely get a chance to make my mighty marathon meals like I did when the kids were at home and we were a family. But, the good news is, I have good friends who love my cooking.

Today, I was in the mood to make some pasta. I can’t just make a little, so I made two pounds of penne pasta and a giant pot of marinara sauce. The kitchen was covered  in cans and spices and splatters. (My secret ingredient for my sauce…a few shakes of cayenne pepper.)

A “penne” for your thoughts.

I shared my pasta with Miss Kathy across the street and Mr. Mike across the park. Neither of them likes to cook, so what better friends to share with.

I enjoyed this. I’m a cook, but it’s still too hot for me to be thinking of food like this. You certainly know how to cook for a crowd. LOL

Thanks Ken. I’ve got plenty left over. Come on over!
