“So when you’re coldFrom the inside out
And don’t know what to do,
Remember love and friendship,
And warmth will come to you.”

The weather has started to get chilly, even here in North Texas. When I get cold, I make soup. It wasn’t that long ago that I made a big vat of potato soup, but I gave most of it away to friends and neighbors and froze a couple of small containers. So, when I looked in the fridge to see what to make for dinner the other day, I still had about eight small potatoes, so I decided to use them up and make another vat of soup.
The last batch was just a tad bit too spicy, ( I add a little hot salsa or jalepeños) not much, but a little, so I combined the containers from the freezer with the new batch, and it was just right. It was delicious, and yes, I gave most of it away. But, sharing soup and friendship is all part of what warms the heart from the inside. Don’t you wish you lived next door? Me too! You can never have too many friends.
Kathy across the street texted me after she had some soup for dinner and said, “You can never move away!” I don’t plan on it. Well, I guess I’m going to warm up some soup now. All this talk is making me hungry.
