Wednesday:) What Ya Up To Miss Toni? My Ears In Mail.

“I’ve always felt there is something sacred in a piece of paper that travels the earth from hand to hand, head to head, heart to heart.”

Robert Michael Pyle

Well, after you’ve been away from home for five weeks, there’s a LOT of mail to catch up with. Last night, I sorted through some bills, bank statements, and other important papers. That was the yucky, necessary part of all that mail.

Today, I put my feet up, got a cup of freshly brewed ginger honey lemon tea, and started looking through all the beautiful Christmas cards that I received. Here’s where the Catholic guilt sets in. I don’t send out Christmas cards, yet, my fabulous friends and faithful family members send me a card every year. They must like me.

Then, I did something that I’ve never done before. This being part

of trying to start off the year with a more productive and less procrastinating demeanor. I wasn’t sure if I had everyone’s correct mailing address, so I started to tear off the little return labels. Then I said, “NO!” Just put them right into your phone directory now, because you know darn well, ya ain’t gonna put them in later. As I can attest to when I pick up my old paper address book. Hundreds of little labels fall out.

Now, I’m caught up with new addresses and checked ones I wasn’t sure of. I’m sure I missed a few, but there’s always next year.

Thanks for all the cool cards and pictures! It took a long time to open, but I savored each one.

Easy craft idea:get some tiles-wall or floor tiles. Cut your faverite pictures from cards. Use Modge Podge to glue pictures to tiles and seal in. Will look milky till it dries(clear)Instant trivets!

I do the exact same thing with the labels — with same result.
