Sunday Sermon and So Much More

“Seeing is believing, but somethings you just can’t see, like faith, respect, loyalty, and love.”

~Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

“One of the nice things about being busy is it makes you focus on what’s important to you and how you use your time.”

~Lorne Michaels

It was sooo cold in McKinney this weekend….How cold was it Miss Toni? It was sooo cold, I got another day to wear my sock monkey hat when I walked the dog at 7:30 this morning, and while greeting before 9 o’clock Mass.

Today, the Gospel was the story of Thomas, who did not believe that Jesus had appeared to the other disciples after His resurrection because he didn’t see Him with his own eyes, nor see where the nails or spear pierced pierced His flesh. So, Jesus appeared again through locked doors and told Thomas to put his hands in the wounds. Thomas then believed, but….

Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me?

Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”

My take on it… you shouldn’t have to have physical proof to believe in God. You shouldn’t have to have physical proof to believe in faith, respect, loyalty, and love. Also, being Divine Mercy Sunday, it was a good day to think about faith and forgiveness.

We also had a baptism today. William Mark was welcomed by all. I tried to take a better photo, but I didn’t want to say, “Father, can you move out of the way?”

I sat next to my new friend Jan that I met a few weeks ago before my last Chicago trip. We stopped at McDonald’s for coffee afterwards.

Jan has just been visiting her family for a few weeks, but will be moving here in June. She was so excited because she already has several groups and clubs that she plans on joining. She loves McKinney too.

I came home and walked the dog again. We were both still pretty cold. Then, I got a surprise call from my friend from my CRHP retreat group asking if I wanted to go to the movies. Wow! Cool. I’ve been wanting to go to the movies, but hate going alone. We went to see “Paul, Apostle of Christ.” I really enjoyed

I stopped at JoAnn Fabrics to pick up a new frosting decorator. I took mine to Chicago and broke it in transit somehow. I also found a cool wooden plaque that has been my motto for most of my life.

I came home, walked the dog again and returned her to Mr. Mike. It had warmed up a little, so I continued my walk.

Wow, it’s almost 9 pm and I haven’t eaten all day. I better finish posting this and make some dinner. Time flies when you are busy.

I really loved this Toni, as I do all your posts. I have that Wilton decorator and is awesome. It works way better than buying those messy pastry bags.
I am so happy you’re making so many new friends and I am glad you liked the movie. That one isn’t playing here near me but I will look for it.

I love your sweet smile, warm heart and cute hat.
