Sunday Sermon and the Ghosts of Birthdays Past

Well, it was a cold dark morning and they were calling for snow storms. There was about ten minutes of fluffy flakes and that’s it. I’m not disappointed. I watched Mass in my pajamas.

I was a happy girl. Today’s my birthday. I’m happy to be one year older, still healthy, alive and AMAZING.

Today’s sermon was short and sweet. Jesus was being baptized and God acknowledged His son.

My take on it… I know how it is to have a beloved son, except I have two. Lucky me.

7And he preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 8I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” 9In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove; 11and a voice came from heaven, “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased.”

A lot of phone calls, FaceTime and birthday wishes from friends and family. I am truly blessed.

My friend Helene made me this awesome enchilada dinner and I have enough for a couple more days.

Lynne stopped by and left a beautiful gift at my door with a fantastic piece of artwork made jus pt for me with a secret message.

Thank you Lynne,

Ghosts of Birthdays past…

Happy birthday to me! ❤️
