Friday:) Finding Queen Elizabeth II

17 Sep

“Each day is a new beginning, I know that the only way to live my life is to try and do what is right, to take the long view, to give of my best in all that the day brings, and to put my trust in God.”

~Queen Elizabeth II in her 2002 Christmas broadcast.

****************

Queen Elizabeth passed away September 8, 2022, and the world was saddened by her death.

I thought it a very strange coincidence that on September 5, I was upstairs in one of my extra rooms, cleaning, sorting, dusting etc. when I noticed something shiny at the bottom of a bin. You know, one of the bins jammed with scotch tape, post it notes, scissors, etc. that you don’t know what to do with, so you throw more stuff in and close the lid.

I always feel lucky when I find a lucky penny or other coin, but this seemed very strange.

Well, I was in a sorting mood. There at the bottom, the last thing I was sorting, I found a coin. It had on odd shape, and unfamiliar. I couldn’t make it out, so I took a picture so I could enlarge it. Here’s what I saw.

It was a Canadian $1 coin with the picture of Queen Elizabeth II. I have no idea where the coin came from or how it got in the bin, but I thought it was pretty cool.

My lucky Queen Elizabeth coin. long live the Queen.

I found the coin September 5, and three days later the Queen passed away. That made me sad. I will cherish the coin and remember that “I found the Queen” right before she died.
