Thankful Thursday:) So Many Blessings

Today is my first full day home after visiting my Chicago friends and family for 25 days. It was a wonderful busy wild and crazy visit.

I came home to a clean house and tons of mail to go through, and an empty fridge. I haven’t unpacked, checked the mail or gone to the store to restock the fridge. Sometime last evening, my back that had been a little funky and sore for a few days really acted up. It was so bad during the night that I almost called 911. It’s a bit better today, but not great. So, I’ll see what tomorrow brings. I’m just glad I got home before this all happened and not far away, being a burden on family. Feeling thankful and blessed.

The fridge may be empty, but not my thankful heart. (Note the fuzzy green moldy muffins that I came home too.🤦‍♀️) Cheers!

My husband went to Penn. last yr(feb) . It snowed while he was there and his back hurt . At home he visited the doctor-arthritus. He takes a perscription pill if he feels it acting up
I freeze muffins. Also left over tube biskets. I put them in microwave with a wet paper towel on top and heat for 1 minute.

Hi Cheryl. I tried to get in to see my doctor and no appointment available till next Tuesday at 3. By then I’ll be better or in the ER. It’s mostly worse at night lying down. I’ll go to a walk-in emergency care clinic if it gets worse. Thanks. As for the muffins, they were in the freezer and I took them out before my trip and forgot about them in the vegetable bin, 🤦‍♀️ Happy almost New Year!

I hope your back is better soon. I get low back ache with diverticulitis flare ups and put 2 tennis balls beneath my hip bones and stretch out on my back for relief. It’s an old trick I learned as a young chick during natural childbirth classes. Who knew it would come in handy decades post delivery? 😅

Thanks Jolene. I’ve been trying everything. Today, I broke down and called my doctor to get an appointment. The first available is next Tuesday with the PA. I declined. I’ll just go to a walk-in emergency clinic if it gets worse. I have a chair back massager and massage gun and I’ve been stretching and Tylenol. It’s mostly bad at night trying to sleep. Have a great weekend and Happy almost New Year. 🤗
