Montage Monday:) A Week in a Peek

27 Mar

” It only takes a moment to peek into someone’s world. A few words or a few pictures can tell a long story.”

~ Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Another week of lucky pennies, crazy good Chicago pizza and Mexican food, beautiful sunsets, friends, family, and faith. What more could you ask for? Counting my blessings!

“Never be so busy as not to think of others.” ― Mother Teresa

Another wonderful week.  But, then again, when isn’t it wonderful? Well, maybe those wasted 3 1/2 hours sitting at the Social Security Office. A birthday party for a friend, painting, a free concert, won a fabulous raffle prize, karaoke every Thursday, went to court just for fun, friends, and family. That’s what it’s all about.

“You can find poetry in your everyday life, your memory, in what people say on the bus, in the news, or just what’s in your heart. ”

~Carol Ann Duffy

Another great week. Time with friends, beautiful sunsets, Baby Belle pictures, and my amazing CRHP retreat at St. Gabriel’s this weekend. A fine fun-filled week with a side order of soul searching.

Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.

A busy, crazy, beautiful, exhausting, magnificent week in a peek. The highlight was Mom’s 90th birthday on Tuesday and her big party on Saturday afternoon. A wonderful week. A big thank you to all the family and friends who made it so special.

This was a fine week with fine weather with a Thanksgiving holiday wrapped around it. McKinney had their annual holiday festival on the square this weekend, and I spent time with good friends, shared good food, and had a good week. I sure hope you did too.

Montage Monday and Memorial Day

“Peace is more important than all justice; and peace was not made for the sake of justice, but justice for the sake of peace.”
~Martin Luther

Memorial Day, a day to give thanks to all who have served and sacrificed. I always think of my own father, and all the other fathers, sons, brothers, sisters, daughters, and mothers who served their country. We are indebted to them all.

My father, Elijah Armenta. Gone but not forgotten.

A week in a peek.

Unpacking, storms, brownies, walking, phone calls and friends. A good week.
