Montage Monday:) A Week in a Peek Celebrating 9 Decades

13 Jun

Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.

~ Michael J. Fox***************

A busy, crazy, beautiful, exhausting, magnificent week in a peek. The highlight was Mom’s 90th birthday on Tuesday and her big party on Saturday afternoon. A wonderful week. A big thank you to all the family and friends who made it so special.

Montage Monday:) Many Memories and Blessings

“The most beautiful moments always seemed to accelerate and slip beyond one’s grasp just when you want to hold onto them for as long as possible.” ― E.A. Bucchianeri

The end of an old year, the beginning of a new year. More memories, more blessings. A week in a peek.

“An enlightened person strives to live a meaningful life, defined by their personal humility joy, passion, and profound reverence for life.”

This was a fine week with fine weather with a Thanksgiving holiday wrapped around it. McKinney had their annual holiday festival on the square this weekend, and I spent time with good friends, shared good food, and had a good week. I sure hope you did too.

Montage Monday and Memorial Day

“Peace is more important than all justice; and peace was not made for the sake of justice, but justice for the sake of peace.”
~Martin Luther

Memorial Day, a day to give thanks to all who have served and sacrificed. I always think of my own father, and all the other fathers, sons, brothers, sisters, daughters, and mothers who served their country. We are indebted to them all.

My father, Elijah Armenta. Gone but not forgotten.

A week in a peek.

Unpacking, storms, brownies, walking, phone calls and friends. A good week.

“Procrastination gives me a little extra time to make a list of the things that I’m not going to get done tomorrow.”

I would say it was a busy week, but it wasn’t really. It was a fun week. I’ve been checking off a lot of “firsts” and “bucket list” events on my life calendar these past few months. I was invited to the Fort Worth Rodeo this week, that was a first. Very cool, a very Texas thing to do.

Now, I need to get productive and get some things done around the house. Or, maybe I’ll just make a list and think about it tomorrow.

Here’s a week in a peek…

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a picture and a thousand words is worth a lifetime.

I love to take pictures and tell a story about each one. Each picture tells a story and every story is my life. When I share my life, I feel it will live on forever.
