“I have been told that the world keeps spinning, but I can’t see it or feel it, yet I believe it. Sometimes you have to believe in something, even when you don’t have proof.”

Another hot one out there. 102° right now. I’m not going out there, but I’ll take their word for it.
This morning, as I was walking out my door to go for my walk, I heard the garbage truck churning down the street. I quick ran inside and grabbed a cold Dr. Pepper. (Dr. Pepper- it’s a Texas thang.) When the nice man got to my driveway, I handed him the cold drink and said “Thank you!” He had the biggest smile on his face, like I had just made his day. I don’t think the smile was just for the cold Dr. Pepper, but the fact that someone appreciated this hard working man on a hot day. As I proceeded on my walk, I could tell that he must have popped that thing open right away, because it was a couple of minutes before the truck trudged on down the street. (It doesn’t take a lot to make a stranger smile.)

Even though it was already in the 90’s, I was determined to get a little walking in. Not too much. As I made my turn around the pond, I ran into a lady walking her dog. I’d never seen her before, it the dog wanted to say hi and give my hand a lick, so I stopped and chatted with both walkers.

While I continued my walk, a few dragonflies followed me around. I tried to take some pictures. Did you ever try and get a picture of a dragonfly? It ain’t easy.

Later in the afternoon, I was listening to Day 2 of the Tony Robbins Time to Thrive Podcast 5 day challenge At 1 pm. I took notes and learned quite a bit. Very inspirational. I think the main thing that the speakers impress on the audience is… If you believe in yourself, you can do anything. I like that.

Life is good, and I am blessed beyond measure. Have a great Wednesday, my friends.
