I was very excited this morning when I opened the oven. No, I didn’t bake my famous brownies or chocolate cherry Bundt cake. I baked the nine glass bowls that my Young At Heart senior artists had painted on Friday. We had a lot of fun creating them, but the greatest joy came from the fact that these bowls were going to be donated to St. Peter’s Empty Bowls fundraiser. Our little group is honored to be able to support this project that will help to feed the hungry. Last week, Krys Watson, led the group in decoupaging another batch of bowls. Our total is nineteen beautiful bowls to share.
