“The secret to painting isn’t doing it well. It’s, well, just doing it and having fun.”

I decided to go up to my studio, AKA-Crap Room, last night and start working on my large bright orange bowl for Empty Bowls coming up in a few weeks. As often as I paint and play, I still get nervous when I have a one-of-a-kind vessel to paint. I spend all year scouring thrift stores for a perfect bowl for the charity event.
As the carpenters say, measure twice, cut once, Artists say, practice a zillion times and paint once. Because, if you mess up with permanent paint, there’s no second chance.
So, I was practicing some African motifs on some notecards. Plus, I figured that I could kill two birds with one brush by recording a time-lapse video. They are fun and fast.

I started painting the trees on the large bowl after I had the groove going on. But, it was almost 1:30 in the morning, so the animals or people will have to wait for another day, and another show and tell post.
Happy Tuesday.🤗👩🏻🎨
